About HCCA Membership

Voting Members.  Membership is open to anyone interested in beef production in Halifax County, Virginia and surrounding areas. Members of the association shall be persons who as individuals or business entities that own beef cattle and are engaged in cattle production. Individual members and business entities shall have the same rights and privileges and shall have voting rights.

Associate Members. Associate members shall be persons who as individuals or as business entities are associated with cattle producers as providers of goods and/or services or who are interested in beef cattle genetic improvement. Associate members shall not have voting rights.

Junior Members. Junior members shall be persons who as individuals are under 18 years of age and are engaged in cattle production through private, 4-H, or FFA opportunities. Membership dues will be Ten Dollars ($10.00) per individual per year.  Junior members will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in youth activities sponsored by Virginia Cattlemen’s Association (VCA) through the leadership of Halifax county Cattlemen’s Association (HCCA) directors.

Annual dues are $30 for producers (includes two family members). Dues are paid for the calendar year. Membership dues include participation for educational programs and meals held 3-4 times throughout the year.
